Mysterious Designs

Nazca-Colibri

The Nazca lines have grabbed the curiosity of many people for their enigmatic origin. One of the designs consists of a hummingbird, a very beautiful species of birds. Hummingbirds are also absolutely unique: they can flip their wings up to 80 times per second, which allows them to hover in mid-air. And they can even fly backwards!

The hummingbird design in the first picture looks awesome. And I am still processing this, that they can flip their wings 80 times per second!!! How do they do that?
